Project Incubator Application
We accept applications year round with a March 31 deadline for the given year. Applicants notified by May 1.
Project Incubator Requirements
Projects must demonstrate results/action within a 12-month time frame, from idea to completion. If part of a larger initiative your idea should be a smaller-scale, baby step towards progress.
It is your responsibility to put in the work to make your idea a reality. UpDayton's responsibility is to guide my action steps and to connect me to potential resources that may help.
Participants commit to attending 9 mandatory workshops from 6-9pm. One attendance exception is allowed. Exact workshop dates are TBD for 2020.
Participants are required to pitch their project idea at UpDayton Summit in the fall 2020 date TBD and attend dress rehearsal prior.
UpDayton support for projects that win at the UpDayton Summit receive additional support of UpDayton resources for up to one year from the Summit.
Participants that win at the UpDayton Summit will be required to review and sign an UpDayton Project Agreement detailing the support provided.
Not all participants will receive funding from the UpDayton Summit. Participants that win at the Summit are required to attend remaining workshops or they forfeit the support of UpDayton and funds.
Workshops after the UpDayton Summit are optional for those who don’t receive UpDayton funding, but attendance is highly encouraged. UpDayton is not required to offer additional assistance outside of the scheduled workshops.
Meeting all deadlines before the UpDayton Summit is mandatory and materials/deliverables for the summit will be provided in workshops. Materials/deliverables must be completed and provided to UpDayton by the established deadlines. If materials are not presented in a timely manner, this will result in removal of your project idea from the UpDayton Summit Pitch.
Applicants will be notified of their status via email no later than May 1.
